The 30 nominees for the 2022 Ballon d'Or were revealed by France Football on Friday evening.

Among those on the shortlist include Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe.

But who will be crowned champion when the result is announced on October 17?

We've attempted to predict the full standings after the 30 nominees were revealed.

30. Mike Maignan

It was a superb season for Maignan as he helped AC Milan win the Serie A title.

29. Sebastien Haller

Haller scored 34 goals in 43 games for Ajax in 2021/22.

28. Antonio Rudiger

Rudiger earned a move to Real Madrid this summer after another brilliant season with Chelsea.

27. Joshua Kimmich

It was another superb season for Kimmich as he helped FC Bayern to the Bundesliga title.

26. Fabinho

Fabinho has cemented himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world in the past few years.

25. Dusan Vlahovic

Vlahovic scored a total of 29 goals at club level in 2021/22: 20 for Fiorentina and a further nine at Juventus after making the January move.

24. Rafael Leao

Leao was instrumental as AC Milan won their first Scudetto since 2011.

23. Riyad Mahrez

Mahrez scored 24 goals for Man City last campaign.

22. Darwin Nunez

Nunez earned an £85m move to Liverpool after scoring 34 goals for Benfica in 2022/23.

21. Bernardo Silva

Silva was named in the PFA Team of the Year after helping City win the Premier League title.

20. Luis Diaz

Diaz tore it up for FC Porto in the first half of the season. He was a revelation for Liverpool after signing in January.

19. Joao Cancelo

Cancelo, despite being a full-back, has become one of Man City's most important players.

18. Casemiro

Casemiro should make the top 20 after being an integral part of a dominant Real Madrid team in 2021/22.

17. Phil Foden

Foden continues to go from strength-to-strength as every year goes by. He could well win the Ballon d'Or in the future.

16. Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo has now made the Ballon d'Or shortlist in every season since 2004. That is insane. At 37 years old he continues to do remarkable things.

15. Harry Kane

Kane started the season off slowly but found his groove when Antonio Conte was appointed manager.

14. Trent-Alexander-Arnold

Alexander-Arnold has done, and continues to do some incredible things on the football pitch.

13. Christopher Nkunku

Nkunku scored just the 35 goals in 52 games for RB Leipzig last season. Not too shabby.

12. Erling Haaland

We think Haaland will just miss out on the top 10 after scoring 29 goals in 30 games for Dortmund in 2021/22.

11. Heung-min Son

Son won the Premier League Golden Boot (shared with Mohamed Salah) after a stunning campaign with Spurs.

10. Virgil van Dijk

The best defender in the world. He was back to his best in the 2021/22 season after fully recovering from a serious knee injury.

9. Kevin De Bruyne

De Bruyne was named the Premier League Player of the Season after leading Manchester City to their fourth title in five years.

8. Thibaut Courtois

Courtois was imperious for Real Madrid in the 2021/22 campaign and produced a Man-of-the-Match performance in the Champions League final vs Liverpool.

7. Luka Modric

Now 36, the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner is still a wonderful player.

6. Vinicius Jr

It was a breakout season for the Brazilian, who has formed a devastating partnership with Benzema for Real Madrid.

5. Mohamed Salah

Salah started the 2021/22 season on fire but tailed off slightly as the campaign went on. Still, he deserves a top five finish.

4. Kylian Mbappe

While Lionel Messi and Neymar weren't at their best for PSG in the 2021/22 season, Mbappe sure was. He scored 49 goals and recorded 31 assists in the 2021/22 season for club and country.

3. Robert Lewandowski

We think Lewandowski will come close once again but his wait for a Ballon d'Or will go on. He scored 50 goals for Bayern Munich in the 2021/22 season.

2. Sadio Mane

Mane was brilliant for Liverpool as they won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup. He was also pivotal as Senegal won the Africa Cup of Nations and secured their berth in the World Cup finals.

1. Karim Benzema

It would be an outrage if Benzema wasn't crowned champion. He was spectacular in the 2021/22 season, scoring 44 times as Real Madrid won the Champions League and La Liga.
