Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn were involved in an intense face-off following their first press conference yesterday.

Earlier this week, a fight between Eubank Jr and Benn was finally confirmed. The pair are set to go head-to-head on October 8 at the O2 Arena in London.

Yesterday, for the first time since the official announcement, both Eubank Jr and Benn saw each other as they both took part in a press conference.

Right from the first second, the pair were quick to start the mind games and quick to throw each other off with their verbals.

It is fair to say that there is a lot of personal history between both Eubank Jr and Benn, mainly due to their fathers.

Just over 20 years ago, their fathers met in a historic bout, with Eubank Sr winning via a ninth-round TKO.

Three years later, the pair would fight to a split draw at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Both Eubank Jr and Benn have agreed to fight at catchweight, with the weight due to be around 157lbs.

After the jaw-dropping press conference, the pair were involved in a heated face-off.

During the face-off, Eubank Jr said: “You're taller than what I thought you would be."

That comment promoted Benn to reply: "Ain't gonna make no difference mate, you know what they say about the bigger they are don't you?"

Benn then told Eubank Jr that it was ‘mad’ for him to think he could ‘walk through him,’ with Eubank Jr responding with: "You got to be confident though, yeah?"

However, Benn was not impressed by the response as he called Eubank ‘delusional.'

Soon after, ‘Next Gen’ said: "That's it, we're both delusional motherf******.”

The pair were eventually separated with Benn then saying: "I love the smugness though while shaking his head."

October 8 promises to be a mouthwatering night for boxing fans as both men will be looking to settle the score once and for all.
