Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler go way back to before their time on WWE.

The two former mixed martial artists competed together on UFC and made up half of the Four Horsewomen of MMA.

But it seems since Rousey has made her return to wrestling, the two allies have moved in different directions.

On the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Rousey made a surprise appearance, breaking the rules of her recent suspension.

Rousey was fined and suspended after she attacked a WWE Official at SummerSlam following her loss to Liv Morgan in the SmackDown Women's Championship title match.

Of course, being The Baddest Woman on the Planet, she paid no attention to the rulebook and instead, crashed the show ahead of Morgan and Baszler's contract signing for their match at Clash at the Castle.

"I know, I know, I’m not supposed to be here because I was suspended for my actions at SummerSlam. I was also fined a lot of money, so I doubled it," Rousey said after emptying a duffel bag full of cash onto the signing table.

"Let’s be honest, it’s not gonna be the last time. What can I say? Being the Baddest gets expensive, but I can afford it."

Security then arrived to remove Rousey from the ring, resulting in one guard being put in an armbar by the Superstar. But after having her fun, she willingly walked towards the exit, just as Baszler was arriving ready to sign her contract.

"You can't just do that, what are you doing?" The Queen of Spades asked her friend. "That's not how this place works, it's not how you get what you want.

"You play by the rules, you get what you want, all right?"

Rousey scoffed at her former teammate and dropped a humbling one-liner before exiting the arena.

"Play by the rules? You used to be a killer."

Baszler is feared by many Superstars on WWE and is known for her brutal wrestling methods inside the ring.

Last year, Baszler launched vicious attacks on Eva Marie and former tag team partner Nia Jax. On both occasions, Baszler choked out her opponent before lodging their arm in the steel steps and stamping on it.

Both Marie and Jax were ruled out of action with arm injuries as a result of the merciless assault.

In Rousey's eyes, it seems Baszler has perhaps gone a little soft. Will she prove her former ally wrong at Clash at the Castle?
