AEW: Kenny Omega injury update

With AEW All Out taking place next month, there have been reports surrounding former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and a potential return.

Kenny Omega has been out of in-ring action since Full Gear 2021, where his 346-day AEW World Championship reign ended to former tag team partner and ELITE ally Hangman Adam Page.

Omega has been said to be struggling with an array of injuries for a while, and we have only seen glimpses of Omega appearances in regards to the AEW Fight Forever video game and last year’s AEW Awards.

However, according to PWInsider, there are strong rumours that we could see AEW’s ‘Best Bout Machine’ back on AEW television and potentially inside the squared circle very soon.

The past week we have seen The Young Bucks on the search for a partner to team with them in the upcoming Trios Championship tournament after they were attacked by former allies Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.

A backstage segment on Dynamite saw The Young Bucks approach Hangman Adam Page with an offer to reform the HungBucks in the upcoming tournament after he saved them, but Page would politely decline their offer.

A key part of the segment saw Page say they should “choose someone who never turned their back on them”, sending wrestling fans into a frenzy as the only logical option would be former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega.

According to PWInsider’s notes, Omega is very likely to be The Bucks’ mystery partner. However, the report hasn’t confirmed this, prompting viewers to tune in this Wednesday when the tournament kicks off with The Young Bucks and the mystery partner taking on Los Ingobernable de Faccion.

Omega and The Young Bucks are no strangers to holding Trios Championships as they were two-time NEVER Openweight 6-man Tag Team Champions in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Tune in this Wednesday to find out who The Young Bucks’ mystery partner will be.

You can watch AEW internationally on FITE TV.
