Kylian Mbappe has been slammed by football fans for sulking after not being given the ball in Paris Saint-Germain's clash against Montpellier on Saturday evening.

PSG made it two wins from two to start the Ligue 1 campaign as they won 5-2 at the Parc des Princes.

Falaye Sako (own-goal), Neymar, (2), Renato Sanches and Mbappe were all on the scoresheet for PSG in their resounding victory.

Whille Mbappe managed to score his first goal of the season, he cut a frustrated figure for much of the first-half.

The French superstar had a golden opportunity to break the deadlock in the 23rd minute when the home side were given a penalty.

Mbappe took responsibility but he saw his penalty saved by Jonas Omlin.

Later in the half, Mbappe appeared to give up after not having the ball passed to him.

With PSG leading 2-0 just before the break, Vitinha broke forward and decided against passing to Mbappe.

The Frenchman was visibly annoyed and turned his back on the play. The move ended in Achraf Hakimi going through on goal but he dragged his effort just wide. View the moment below...

Mbappe was able to get on the scoresheet in the second half.

But he didn't look overly pleased after finding the net.

Mbappe was eventually subbed off in the 86th minute as he made way for Pablo Sarabia.

Speaking earlier in the week, the 23-year-old opened up on the eternal Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi debate.

He said, per Goal: "Every year I wondered who would win the Ballon d’Or, Messi or Cristiano. Who do I prefer? It's like choosing between your father or your mother, you can't.

"As for all those of my generation, the Ballon d'Or is inevitably associated with the battle between Leo and Cristiano. Digging really deep into my memory, I also remember a little bit Ronaldinho (a Ballon d'Or winner in 2005).

"But, frankly, everything is crushed by the greedy two! They have shared the prize for so long. Every year, like everyone else, I wondered which one of them would get it. Looking back, that battle was pretty crazy.

"On ceremony days, it was fun to watch them when they were next to each other. And trying to figure out from their faces which one looked more angry or upset because they knew they didn't win."
