Eddie Hall enjoyed a stellar Strongman career, eventually culminating in his victory at the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2017.
He then announced his immediate retirement from Strongman, citing concerns for his health if he continued.
Hall was renowned for his ability to dig deep to get the absolute maximum from himself. Perhaps the most famous example of this was when he broke the conventional deadlift with an incredible 500kg (1,102lb) attempt.
Hall passed out after completing the lift and it was incidents like this that The Beast and his family were keen to avoid down the line.
He has kept himself in good shape despite his retirement, though, and has enjoyed the beginnings of a successful broadcasting career as he has co-hosted the World’s Strongest Man coverage on Channel 5 with James Richardson.
The need for a physical challenge and to push himself has remained with his latest project being a foray into the world of boxing. He has had just the one bout thus far, a defeat against fellow Strongman and long-time rival Hafbor Julius Bjornsson or, to Game of Thrones fans, The Mountain.
Eddie Hall’s story is an inspirational one for many, and shows what can be achieved with dedication and hard work.
Hall has recently uploaded a throwback video on his official Instagram account, comparing his physique aged 14 with him now aged 34. He was taking part in the TikTok trend of showing your first picture of you at the gym vs the most recent picture of you at the gym.
Although he was only in his garden, it seems, at age 14, he was still absolutely shredded and fans simply cannot believe it!
Hall was a lean and muscled child, especially for just 14 years old, but the transformation is barely believable compared to his bulked up 34-year-old frame.
Commenting on the comparison video, fans of Hall just couldn't believe what he looked like in his teenage years.
