Conflicting groups in Sumeru City are at the heart of the narrative. Lesser Lord Kusanali’s position as Archon should be minimised by the Akademiya group in order to maintain its influence over knowledge in the area and beyond.
After the previous Archon passed away 500 years ago, the Archon faction, which appears to consist of Nilou, Tighnari, and Al Haitham, wants to assist Kusanali in obtaining the power that is properly hers.
This is the story that develops throughout the course of the first few Sumeru updates, but 3.0 has a somewhat different focus. In the Archon quest Through the Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark, you must figure out what is causing the trees to suffer from the deadly disease known as The Withering, which is threatening Sumeru’s lush rainforest.
Further exploration of Tighnari’s job as a forest ranger and the mysteries of the forest may be found in his own tale quest, Vulpes Zerda.
Three new playable characters have already been officially announced for the 3.0 update, and they will be featured in the first two 3.0 banners. In Sumeru, new NPCs are also being introduced, such as Al Haitham, Nilou, Nahida, Dehya, and Cyno. Listed below are all the characters:
A playable character is a Sumerian scholar named Al-Haitham. Since he resembles Su from Honkai Impact so much, he was first known as Su Expy for a while.
Collei is not a new name to Genshin; she is connected to Cyno. She will be a Dendro bow user with four stars. Both Collei’s character design and her constellation, Leptailurus Cervarius, have been verified.
It is anticipated that Cyno will be released in 3.0 or perhaps 3.1 after making appearances in the Genshin Impact manga and the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview. He is depicted as having a Polearm and an Electro Vision.
Dehya, in contrast to Nilou, will reportedly employ a Pyro Claymore when she debuts in 3.1 or 2. She is also most likely a 4-Star. She looks like another character with anthropomorphic ears.
The user of the Electro Claymore, Dori, is another 4-Star. A spherical, pink genie can be conjured up on the battlefield by the Sumeru Merchand, who possesses the constellation Magicae Lucerna.
It is said that Lord Kusanali represents the Sumeru region’s Dendro Archon. We do not yet know much about their build other than the fact that they will use Dendro.
Another of the new Sumeru faces is purported Hydro Sword user Nilou. She will probably be a 5-Star character and is anticipated to be launched in either 3.1 or 3.2.
Tighnari, who uses the Dendro and Bow, will probably be yet another brand-new 5-Star character. Their constellation is Vulpes Zerda, and they serve as a ranger for the Avidya Forest.
Three from the Dendro Element and one from Electro are among the four new characters that Genshin Impact 3.0 will debut. There will also be three replays. Listed below are all the banners:
First Phase Character Banners
- The 5-star Dendro Bow character Tighnari will be featured in the Virisdescent Vigil.
- The 5-star Dendro Polearm character Zhonglu will appear in Gentry of Hermitage again.
- Collei, a brand-new 4-star Dendro Bow character, will appear on both banners.
The new 5-star bow Hunter’s Path, the Tighnari Signature weapon, and the Polearm Vortex Vanquisher will be featured on the first banner for weapons. For DPS and Sub-DPS characters, Lost Prayer of the Sacred Winds (5-star catalyst) is an intriguing weapon.
Second Phase Banners
We will need to watch two reruns of Genshin Impact 2.8, one from Liyue and one from Liyue.
- Kokomi, a 5-star Hydro Catalyst character, will appear again in Drifting Luminescence.
- The 5-star Cryo Bow User Ganyu will return in Adrift at the Harbor.
- Both banners will feature Dori, the new 4-star Electro character.
Two replays will appear in the second weapon banner. The Amos’ Bow with the 5-star Catalyst Engulfing Lighting.
Players must worship the Statue of the Seven in Sumeru in order to activate the Dendro Traveller, who is given to them for free.
Events in Genshin Impact 3.0 include combat challenges, Dendro tutorials, and the opportunity to acquire a fresh Seelie pet. Listed below are all the events:
The primary combat event of Genshin 3.0 is the Fayz Trials. With a team of trial characters, use a special potion to halt time and deal great damage for the chance to win Primogems and other rewards.
In this main event of the update, you are tasked with motivating toymakers in Port Ormos by gathering photos and testing in battle all around the area. Although there are many perks to acquire, simply participating entitles you to Collei’s free invitation.
Once again, the objective of Lost Riches is to locate antiquated artefacts and trade them for more useful prizes, such as a new green Seelie pet.
Another sample character-based combat event is Tablet Analytics, although this time you have less control over the battlefield. To increase your chances of winning Primogems and ascension materials, take advantage of sporadic buffs and complete challenges of increasing difficulty.
New versions of well-known bosses, as well as some completely new ones, will be introduced in Genshin Impact 3.0. The Jadeplume Terrorshroom and Electro Regisvine are two additional new bosses included in the initial Sumeru patch.
If you wind up with Tighnari, Collei, or Dori in your party, prepare to use them in your combat strategy since both drop things necessary for Sumeru character advancement. The existence of a new Weekly Boss in the 3.0 release is still up in the air.

The map of Genshin Impact 3.0 is a significant one. A completely new nation with new teleport spots, treasures, and quests is coming to us. Sumeru will be released in phases.
What is known thus far about the Sumeru Map is as follows:
- Mountains, valleys, rivers, and rainforests form most of the area, however, there is a portion of desert that will be released later.
- More than 40 Teleport Waypoints and 4 Statues of the Seven will be present.
- A tree similar to the Grand Sakura in Inazuma will grow in Sumeru. The Tree of Dreams, also known as Vanarana, is Sumeru’s.
