We've now had two game weeks to get a glimpse of what's to come this season. We've learned that Manchester United are in deep trouble. They've now lost two out of two games against opposition they statistically should be beating.

They've comfortably won both fixtures and have certainly had some of the best performers over the first two game weeks - including Gabriel Jesus who stole the show in GW2 with two goals and two assists.

Now we look forward to week three and who you should possibly be looking to get into your sides.

So, with this – here we have our Fantasy Premier League 22-23 Game Week 3 tips.

Here is the third round of fixtures that are taking place in Game Week 3 in the Premier League, which were gathered from the official Premier League website.

  • Tottenham vs Wolves: 12:30 pm
  • Crystal Palace vs Aston Villa: 3:00 pm
  • Everton vs Nottingham Forest: 3:00 pm
  • Fulham vs Brentford: 3:00 pm
  • Leicester City vs Southampton: 3:00 pm
  • Bournemouth vs Arsenal: 5:30 pm

Sunday 21st August 2022

  • Leeds United vs Chelsea: 2:00 pm
  • West Ham vs Brighton: 2:00 pm
  • Newcastle vs Manchester City: 4:30 pm

Monday 22nd August 2022

  • Manchester United vs Liverpool: 8:00 pm

Looking at these fixtures, there are certainly a couple of clubs that you should be having a close look at players-wise.

The biggest fixture of the weekend is undoubtedly the Monday night football clash between Manchester United and Liverpool. We would suggest selling any Manchester United players given their start to the season. Judging from last season's results in this fixture - it won't look pretty for United at Old Trafford and we can only see points heading for Liverpool players, particularly attackers.

The early kick-off on Saturday is also one to look at. Tottenham Hotspur have started brilliantly this campaign and they guarantee goals. Wolves on the other hand look simply underwhelming, so the acquisition of a Harry Kane, a Heung-Min Son or a Dejan Kulusevski could certainly be a smart move.

We'd avoid picking players from both Crystal Palace vs Aston Villa and Leicester City vs Southampton. They'll be tight affairs that could starve your side of vital points.

Our top picks for FPL Game Week 3

You could have a potential two free transfers to use this week, given you didn't use any last week. So here we have our top picks for Game Week 3.

Gabriel Jesus

  • Position: Forward
  • Club: Arsenal
  • Price: £8 Million
  • GW3 Opponent: Bournemouth (A)

This man announced himself to FPL 22-23 this week. He was sublime and will only go from strength to strength. Bournemouth just leaked four goals against Manchester City - so there are points to be had with Jesus in this next fixture and going forward throughout the season.

Fabinho

  • Position: Midfielder
  • Club: Liverpool
  • Price: £5.5 Million
  • GW3 Opponent: Manchester United (A)

Fabinho will no doubt control the game against Manchester United. Jurgen Klopp will head out to dominate possession which means Fabinho will be heavily involved in terms of picking up the ball and dictating play. He will likely receive a passing bonus and will be a good shout for bonus points.

Marc Cucurella

  • Position: Defender
  • Club: Chelsea
  • Price: £5 Million
  • GW3 Opponent: Leeds United (A)

The new Chelsea boy looks like a great fit for Thomas Tuchel's side and will most likely perform very well in FPL this season. He got an assist against Spurs and with Chelsea's back line looking competent he could be in contention for a clean sheet against Leeds.

Ivan Perisic

  • Position: Defender
  • Club: Tottenham Hotspur
  • Price: £5.4 Million
  • GW3 Opponent: Wolves (H)

If you haven't got him already - now is the time to buy Ivan Perisic. Tottenham's next run of games looks great and has the potential for many clean sheets, combined with potential goals and assists. He has also dropped to £5.4 million, which is great as it means you can use a 0.1 million for a player that has risen already.
