Arsenal target Yeremy Pino could make a late move to the Emirates Stadium after being approached by a number of clubs, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners have made a promising start to the campaign, having beaten Crystal Palace and Leicester City, but boss Mikel Arteta may still add fresh faces to his squad ahead of the September 1 deadline.

What's the latest news involving Pino?

According to Goal, Arsenal are interested in Villarreal winger Pino and mulling over whether to lodge a bid during the final weeks of the transfer window.

The report suggests the four-cap Spain international has a £67million release clause written into his contract, but his current employers would be open to accepting a proposal worth £38million.

While that may be the case, Romano has revealed that no offers have been tabled so far despite numerous clubs tracking Pino's progress for an extensive period of time.

The journalist has previously told GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal are among the clubs to have been following the 19-year-old in recent months.

Spanish sources have claimed that Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are also showing an interest in Pino.

What has Fabrizio Romano said about Pino?

Romano has refused to rule out the possibility of Pino securing his Villarreal departure during the final stages of the summer window.

The transfer guru believes the wide-man's representatives could play a key role in enabling Arsenal - or another Premier League club - to win the race for his signature.

Romano told GIVEMESPORT: "I wouldn't be surprised if he could be one of the names [for Arsenal] in the last few weeks of the transfer window because he is a really top player.

"Many Premier League clubs are approaching his agents. He has English agents - Stellar - which is a strong group in the Premier League, so it's normal to have these kinds of links and these kinds of approaches."

Why is Pino of interest to Arsenal?

Pino may still be a teenager, but he has already made 78 senior appearances for Villarreal, underlining that he has a bright future ahead of him.

He is clearly a major threat in the opposition's penalty area as well, having contributed 14 goals and a further five assists in that time.

Arteta has built a youthful squad at Arsenal - with the likes of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli making more than 30 appearances despite being aged less than 25 last season - so Pino could be a shrewd investment.
