Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk‘s highly-anticipated rematch will feature Ben Whittaker on the undercard.

The Team GB Olympic silver medallist will take on unbeaten Croatian light heavyweight Petar Nosic in Jeddah.

Nosic will be the next test for Whittaker on August 20, after he made short work of Greg O’Neill.

The pair are no strangers having previously competed against each other as amateurs back in 2015.

And it was Whittaker who walked away victorious courtesy of a stunning second-round KO.

Trained by Tyson Fury‘s coach SugarHill Steward, the Brit is once again planning to put on a show, as he looks to improve on his impressive debut at the end of last month.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “A lot of people really bought into the entertainment part of it and that’s what I love.

“Going to these amateur tournaments, I’ve been doing that for years now. There’s been no one there other than my corner team and those judges didn’t like it and those referees used to tell me not to do it. Where as a professional you kind of get praised if you do it now.

“So I was in my own element. I was enjoying it a bit too much but, like I said, it was my first fight since the Olympics so the timing and things like that was just a little bit off. The first round I’d grade myself probably a ‘C’ and then I brought it back with the second round so all in all I was happy.

“I showed I’m still me. I can still have fun, make them miss and then at the start of the second I showed now I’ve had my shoulder surgery I’ve got two hands and I can hurt people.”

The Birmingham-born boxer became the talk of the town with a blistering debut in Bournemouth just three weeks ago.

And Whittaker’s promoter Ben Shalom reckons the sky really is the limit for ‘B£NZO’ who is also known as ‘The Surgeon’.

The BOXXER CEO and founder told Sky Sports: “It’s great to have Ben back out so quickly on such a big show.

“His debut in Bournemouth was very impressive and we’re looking forward to a massive future.

“I’m sure we will see another entertaining performance in Jeddah and we look forward to seeing him boxing again on home soil very soon.”
