Vince McMahon's reaction to being told by a former colleague that everyone in WWE is scared of him was ice cold.

During his time as WWE Chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon was deemed to be a pretty ruthless individual.

That has been backed up by former WWE Superstar Road Dogg, who spoke about working with Vince during the latest episode of the 'Oh You Didn't Know?' podcast.

Road Dogg also worked behind the scenes with WWE before being surprisingly released on January 5, meaning he's worked pretty closely with Vince both as a talent and backstage official.

The former WWE Tag Team Champion explained that he once told Vince that everyone in WWE feared him, and the ex-CEO's response was priceless.

Vince said that he's never done anything to scare anybody in response to Road Dogg's comments in what was, without doubt, a truly ice cold reply.

"Everybody’s scared to death of you, sir". McMahon looked around, sighed and replied, "Well that’s on them, because I’ve never done anything to scare anybody".

Vince has been in the news a fair bit lately as the 76-year-old shockingly retired from all his active duties with WWE on July 22.

McMahon had temporarily stepped down as CEO and Chairman the month prior while WWE investigated him after he was accused of sexual misconduct, but almost no one expected Vince to actually retire.

Vince was replaced as Chairman by Stephanie McMahon, who as well as serving as Chairwoman, will also serve as WWE's co-CEO alongside Nick Khan.

As for Vince's previous role as Head of Creative, those responsibilities have been taken on by his son-in-law, Triple H. The decision to appoint HHH to the role has been one that has been met well by fans.

Fans have enjoyed seeing how Triple H has booked the last few weeks of shows, with an emphasis being put on tag team wrestling, the women's division and long-term storytelling.

As well as that, 'The Game' has brought back several ex-WWE Superstars who have been released by Vince over the last 18 months, including Dexter Lumis, Dakota Kai and Karrion Kross.

Speaking of the landscape of WWE right now, footage has emerged of Vince from several years ago perfectly predicting how WWE would look when he retires, which you can read more about by clicking here.
