To say Neymar is something of a specialist from the spot would be quite the understatement.

The Brazilian was the first one to truly master the art of the stutter technique and usually pulls it off to perfection.

His conversion rate of 82.5% for club and country is one of the better records in world football right now and clearly evidences his knack for spot-kicks.

However, an incident at the weekend between Neymar and his younger teammate Kylian Mbappe regarding a penalty has got fans talking.

Neymar v Mbappe - 'penaltygate'

With Mbappe having already taken and missed a penalty in PSG's home fixture against Montpellier over the weekend, when the second spot-kick was awarded, the expert Brazilian took control.

Yet when he went to place the ball down on the 12-yard-mark, Mbappe could be seen on camera demanding the ball before going over to try and force the issue.

Thankfully, Neymar sent him away and then coolly slotted home, proving once again that he's one of the best in the business from the spot.

But the whole situation has concerned fans, with the overriding feeling being that Mbappe has too much power at PSG under his new contract.

Matters also weren't helped by the fact the Frenchman visibly barged Lionel Messi out the way on route to argue with Neymar.

It seems like, yet again, the French giants are failing to control the personalities in their dressing room.

WATCH: Neymar's outrageous penalties

The thing is, though, it would be cruel to deny the public of Neymar's genius from the spot.

There just seems to be something poetic about watching him so frequently send the keeper the wrong way before slotting home with ease.

And it seems most of Twitter agrees with that notion, too, given a video of Neymar's insane penalties circulating on the site has accumulated over 3,000 retweets so far.

We're pretty sure ice runs through Neymar's veins because the sheer amount of time he's happy to wait for the keeper to move before committing is incredible.

If we had our way - and this is just our personal opinion - we'd never let Mbappe near a PSG penalty again with Neymar and Messi in the squad.
