Arsenal came up short in their bid to qualify for the Champions League in the 2021/22 season.

The Gunners looked set to return to Europe's cup competition after five years away.

However, it all fell apart for Mikel Arteta's side in the final few games of the campaign.

Arsenal had the opportunity to secure their qualification when they travelled to Tottenham in the third last gameweek of the season.

But they failed to get the result they desired as they were beaten 3-0 by their fierce rivals, meaning the gap between the two sides in the Premier League was cut to just two points.

Arsenal still held all the cards and would have qualified for the Champions League had they won their final two games.

But they suffered defeat to Newcastle in the penultimate game of the season - a result that would prove very costly.

Ben White's own-goal and Bruno Guimaraes' strike saw them lose 2-0. Despite beating Everton 5-1 on the last day of the campaign, they went on to finish two points behind Tottenham in fifth.

Arteta's dressing room rant after the defeat against Newcastle will be shown on Amazon Prime's documentary: All or Nothing.

They have posted a clip of his rant as a teaser for the the release of the final few episodes on August 18.

Arteta was not happy at all. View it below...

Arteta starts: "It doesn’t matter what I say, it doesn’t matter what you say now, it is too late. They were 10,000 times better than us today, in everything.

"We didn’t earn the right to play, we didn’t win a f***ing duel, we didn’t win a second ball, we were horrible with the f***ing ball, we had no organisation, we had nothing guys. Nothing!

"So now [zips mouth shut], shut your mouth and eat it."

He added, per the Metro: "We could have conceded eight goals, and when you see the chances you will cry. You will cry the way we have competed. It’s not the way we have competed, it’s that we didn’t compete at all in the game.

"It’s f****** embarrassing to come here and work the way we’ve done it. Embarrassing guys. What happened today is f****** unacceptable. And if you accept something like this, you are living in a different world guys, a different world.

"Don’t worry I will face the people. But today it is hard to defend you guys, hard. I will take all the s**t. Again. No worries."

Arteta is a cool, calm and collected character but when he loses his temper, he well and truly loses it.
