Last night on AEW Dynamite, saw the highly anticipated return of one of AEW's biggest stars in the Trios Tournament main event between La Faccion de Ingobernable took on The Young Bucks and a mystery partner.

For weeks The Young Bucks have been looking for a tag partner, and they thought they had it after Hangman Adam Page saved The Bucks after they were attacked by the Undisputed Elite.

However, Page would decline Matt and Nick's offer as he believed he owed it to the Dark Order to be in their corner for the Trios Tournament, just like they were in his when he won the AEW World Championship.

Hangman's rejection left The Bucks stumped on who their partner could be. Furthermore, in the recent episode of BTE the biggest hint to who the mystery person will be was caught in the final scene where Matt answers a phone call. The episode fades by playing a note of a song.

The note resembled that of Kenny Omega's AEW theme song, igniting the rumours and excitement leading into Dynamite.

The rumours became a reality in the main event as Omega emerged on the stage alongside Don Callis and stormed to the ring.

Omega hadn't fought in an AEW ring for over 270 days, and his and The Bucks' chemistry hadn't missed a step.

Rush, Andrade and Dragon Lee took the fight to The ELITE focusing their attack on Omega.

However, Omega and The Bucks got the best of their opponents and advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament after Omega dropped Dragon Lee with the One-Winged Angel.

Post-match saw Omega address the AEW fans and thank them in classic Kenny Omega fashion while he had been gone and on his road to recovery.
