Manchester United want right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka "out the door" at Old Trafford, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Wan-Bissaka made the £50m switch to United back in 2019 but lost his place in the team midway through last season and was left on the bench against Brighton and Brentford.

In Wan-Bissaka's first two-and-a-half years at the club, he missed just seven top-flight games, but that changed when he was dropped following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's departure and has struggled for regular game-time ever since, with Dalot now Erik ten Hag's number one right-back.

As a result, United are open to offers for the defender and while they would consider a loan with an option to buy, the Old Trafford club would prefer to get Wan-Bissaka off their books permanently.

What did Jones say about Wan-Bissaka?

Jones believes that United are struggling to get Wan-Bissaka off their wage bill but remains adamant the club want him sold before the window closes despite him being on the bench for their first two games.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I'm not sure what it's going to take to make a breakthrough with Wan-Bissaka at this stage.

"It's still kind of sat there waiting, but they obviously want him out the door."

Could Wan-Bissaka return to Crystal Palace?

Just three years after the right-back left Selhurst Park, the Eagles are keen on re-signing Wan-Bissaka.

That's according to talkSPORT, who believe United would be prepared to let him return to Palace, providing they manage to sign a replacement, with Dalot their only other senior right-back in the squad.

Wan-Bissaka has entered the final two years of his £90,000 per-week, contract at the Theatre of Dreams, although only Odsonne Edouard and Wilfried Zaha currently earn more, which could prove a potential barrier, unless the United star is willing to take a wage cut.

But with Wan-Bissaka facing a season of uncertainty if he doesn't leave Old Trafford, reducing his wages in return for regular game-time at a Premier League club might be a sensible decision.
