Man United have endured the worst possible start to this Premier League season.

Erik ten Hag’s side lost 2-1 to Brighton in their opening game, before being thrashed 4-0 by Brentford last weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future remains in doubt, while Harry Maguire is allegedly close to being dropped by the Dutch manager.

To make matters worse, United appear to have missed out on a number of ten Hag’s main transfer targets and, therefore, have a lot of work to do before the window closes.

United’s performances so far have been nothing short of calamitous and ten Hag’s side found themselves four goals down by half-time at the Brentford Community Stadium.

It’s a repeat of what happened against Liverpool back in October last year, where the Red Devils lost 5-0 to Jurgen Klopp’s side at Old Trafford.

At the time, a 10-year-old girl went viral for highlighting exactly what was wrong with the club and her words are just as true today as they were back then.

United play Liverpool at Old Trafford again on Monday, so with that in mind, here’s what the young girl thought.

What did the young girl say?

Speaking on the United View YouTube channel, the 10-year-old emphasised the defensive problems the club were having, that are still evident now.

“Players at the back like [Luke] Shaw. He used to get stuck in all the time, he used to be a brilliant player, but you don’t even know he’s on the pitch anymore,” she said.

“Even though we’ve got [Jadon] Sancho now, it’s like the players at the back are thinking we’ve got Sancho, we’ve got Ronaldo, we’ve got some of the best players in the world, so we don’t have to do any work –– they can just attack.”

The girl also stressed that she was ashamed to be a United fan at the time.

“It makes me feel embarrassed. We have had worse teams, like last year we had a worse team and we didn’t even have Ronaldo, but now we can’t beat small teams. I just don’t think we’re going to get better, because I don’t think they’re trying.”

Fans praise young fan

Many fans were quick to praise the young girl on her speech.

“She’s a champ. [She] Knows more about football than the people coaching and running the club,” one said.

“Cannot believe the level of football intelligence of this little girl,” another wrote.

A third added: “She's going to be a superstar when she grows up. Talks so much sense at such a young age.”
