Last night on AEW Rampage saw the Trios Championship tournament continue, as The Best Friends collided with the Trustbusters for a spot in next week's semi-finals.

Also, HOOK defends the FTW Championship against Jersey Shore star Zack Clayton, and Swerve In Our Glory defended the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Private Party.

ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli promo-

Claudio addresses the AEW fans alongside ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta.

The ROH World Champion issued an open challenge for the title that was accepted by none other than 'The Natural' Dustin Rhodes.

The match will take place next Friday on Rampage.

Swerve In Our Glory ( c ) def Private Party- AEW World Tag Championship match

The match began with Cassidy unloading strikes on Keith Lee, but a double-handed chop quickly shifted the momentum in favour of the champions.

As the match progressed, Swerve and Cassidy went back and forth, demonstrating their high-flying ability.

Swerve gets the better of Private Party, stomping them out of the way and tagging in Keith Lee, who proceeded to launch Quinn and Cassidy around the ring.

The closing moments of the match saw Quinn kick out of the heel kick from Swerve, but he was unable to kick out of the JLM Driver as the champions retained.

HOOK ( c ) def Zack Clayton- FTW Championship

Clayton's confidence backfired as, from the moment the bell rang, he tapped out after being locked in the redrum. HOOK retains without breaking a sweat.

Buddy Matthews def Serpentico-

Due to the HOOK vs Clayton match finishing sooner than planned. Buddy Matthews vs Serpentico became an addition to the card.

Matthews demonstrated his strong striking style from the get-go, shotgun dropkicking Serpentico into the corner, before almost decapitating Serpentico with a punt kick on the apron.

Buddy picked up a convincing victory after dropping Serpentico with the pumphandle.

Post-match saw a brawl transpire between Matthews and 'The Redeemer' Miro, with Miro getting the upper hand on 'The Juggernaut'.

Athena def Penelope Ford-

The opening moments saw Ford get the upper hand after a nasty dropkick to Athena.

However, the momentum wouldn't last long as Athena connected with the diving stunner, picking up the win and maintaining her undefeated streak.

Best Friends def The Trustbusters- AEW Trios Championship quarter-finals

Both teams showed great offence throughout the start of the bout. The turning point came with the introduction of The Trustbuster's powerhouse Parker Boudreaux who took out all members of The Best Friends.

However, a trios assault by Best Friends was finally able to neutralise the big man, as he's dumped into the crowd.

The closing moments see Slim J distracted by Danhausen's curse and The Best Friends utilise it to pick the victory with an incredible trios move.
