Video footage has been released of the confrontation between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk after their hard-fought rematch.Joshua was unable to change the tide in his favour, and was outpointed by the Ukrainian who, with the weight of his country on his shoulders, put on another boxing masterclass. It was the same old story for Joshua. He was dominated in their first encounter and despite a gutsy, improved performance, he didnât have the answers to get his hand raised after the final bell sounded. A noticeably emotional Joshua was unable to contain his frustration after the bout. Microphones managed to pick up every single word that AJ said to Usyk after the split decision was awarded to the Ukrainian. After shaking hands Usyk compliments Joshua, saying: âYou are a very strong guy.âIt was soon clear that this wasnât what Joshua wanted to hear.
âI donât care about strong I have to have skills. Being strong doesnât win boxing, skills win boxing. Youâre not strong, how did you beat me? How? Because of skill, I had character and determination.â
Usykâs attempts to comfort AJ after his loss didnât quite go to plan. Joshua proceeded to pick up Usykâs belts and throw them to the floor, before walking out of the arena.
A rather emotional Joshua returned to the ring to give an expletive filled speech that was rather hard to watch.

Usyk was later asked about Joshuaâs bizarre reaction to losing the bout, when he said:
âI feel nothing but respect to AJ. I saw him a bit emotional and like bullying some of my teammates.
âThat would be a bare-knuckle fight that I donât recommend him to do because most of them are horrible street fighters.â
Joshua apologised for his actions after the bout, saying that âhis emotions got the better of him.â
