Harry Kane was Tottenham Hotspur's match winner for the umpteenth time last Saturday afternoon.

In a tense home match against a talented Wolverhampton Wanderers side, England's captain scored the only goal to secure a 1-0 victory and three precious points.

Kane latched onto Ivan Perisic's clever flick from a corner kick and headed home from close-range.

It was Kane's 250th goal for Spurs across all competitions, which is a quite incredible achievement.

The supremely-gifted striker is only the ninth player to reach that landmark at one club in the 21st century thus far - and one of three for a Premier League outfit.

So who's ahead of Kane? Well, the folks over at the International Federation of Football History & Statistics have all the answers.

They've officially named the 11 players with the most goals for one club in the 21st century.

Yeah, it was always going to be Messi and Ronaldo at the top of tree, players who've mastered the sweet art of goalscoring better than anyone else in the modern era - by quite some distance as well.

The pair of Ballon d'Or hoarders are well clear of the rest and the former's tally of 672 goals for Barcelona is actually the most by a player for one club in the history of professional football.

Messi broke Pele's record from his famous stint at Santos back in December of 2020 with a goal in an away match against Real Valladolid.

It's going to take a number of decades - maybe even a whole century - before someone gets close to surpassing Messi's superhuman tally.
