Deontay Wilder could be seen throwing a combination of lethal jabs in a recently posted training video ahead of his heavyweight return against Robert Helenius later in the year.

Posted on the Boxing Social Twitter page, the video shows Wilder, 36, executing a flurry of characteristically dangerous punches.

Wilder has been out of action since last October following a condemning defeat to two-time heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

The defeat sat bitterly with Wilder who failed to secure the WBC and ‘The Ring’ titles from The Gypsy King.

Following back-to-back stoppages, the ageing Wilder would be left to reconsider his future against a seemingly unbeatable Fury.

Wilder ultimately chose to fight-on and continue his polarising career. With a victory in mind, ’The Bronze Bomber’ will surely be looking to propel his heavyweight career and eventually set his targets on the likes of Andy Ruiz Jr, Dillian Whyte or even a recently defeated Anthony Joshua.

Standing in the way is the Finn, Robert Helenius - a challenge Wilder will have to overcome in October of this year before reaching for any titles.

In preparation for his comeback, Wilder has been hitting the gym alongside trainer and former rival, Malik Scott.

Having not lost a slither of power, Wilder looks to be replicating the astonishing form which bought 41 knockouts in 43 professional fights prior to his successive defeats to Fury.

On the back of consecutive victories over the Polish, Adam Kownacki, Helenius will be looking to avoid becoming Wilder’s 42nd KO.

Stating he has no plans to slow down, Wilder has insisted he wants to secure three fights per year until the grand-old age of 40.

Only then will he consider hanging the gloves up. At a recent workout event Wilder announced: "I only have until I'm 40, then I'm done."

"I still want to continue my three fights a year, I'm young, I still feel great, when you have your happiness and your peace you're only building from there; it's never a downfall."

'You're only just building from there and to have so much love around you and stuff like that is refreshing.

Even when people think you're down, sad and out for whatever reason they have in their head I tell people "I don't live for them, I live for myself.

With his next fight seemingly imperative for his future, Wilder will be looking to defy the age barrier and elevate his boxing career to new heights.
