Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka is now 'more likely' to stay at Old Trafford despite initial doubts over his long-term future, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

Erik ten Hag, who was appointed as the Red Devils' boss ahead of the new season, could welcome fresh faces and sanction departures ahead of the September 1 transfer deadline.

What's the latest news involving Wan-Bissaka?

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are mulling over whether to make a move for Wan-Bissaka during the final stages of the summer window.

The report suggests the Eagles are waiting for a final decision over whether Manchester United will let the former England under-21 international, who won three caps, leave on loan or permanently.

A move to Selhurst Park would result in Wan-Bissaka, 24, returning to familiar surroundings as he left Palace for his current employers when a £50million deal was struck three years ago.

It appears that Manchester United are willing to offload the right-back in a cut-price deal as they are reportedly seeking just £10million.

However, the Red Devils are not necessarily in desperate need of selling Wan-Bissaka as he still has two years remaining on his £90,000-per-week contract, while the deal has the option of being extended by 12 months, so they are in a strong negotiating position.

What has Dharmesh Sheth said about Wan-Bissaka?

Despite interest from Palace, Sheth understands that there is an increasing possibility that Wan-Bissaka will remain on Manchester United's books.

The Sky Sports reporter believes the fast-approaching transfer deadline could rule out a move as there would be little time for ten Hag to find a replacement.

Sheth told GIVEMESPORT: "The information I'm getting is that it's more and more likely he will stay now because - with less than 10 days to go in the window - you're going to have to not only do that deal, but bring another player in as well.

"It's pretty tight to be able to do two deals of that magnitude. As you saw on Monday, Wan-Bissaka was on the bench and he came on for the final few minutes.

"For now, it looks like he will be in that squad and in the plans."

Should Manchester United keep Wan-Bissaka on their books?

Wan-Bissaka made his first appearance of the season when he came on as a substitute for the final four minutes of Manchester United's win over arch-rivals Liverpool on Monday.

Diogo Dalot appears to have made the right-back slot his own, having started all of the Red Devils' clashes since ten Hag moved into the dugout, but Wan-Bissaka's cameo suggests he is not totally out of the picture.

They are ten Hag's only options on the right-hand side of the defence and, unless he succeeds in welcoming a fresh face to Old Trafford, it would be wise to keep Wan-Bissaka - who has made 127 appearances for Manchester United - on board.
