Aaron Ramsdale has endeared himself to Arsenal fans yet again with an impressive interview.

Arsenal's signing of the English stopper for a fee of up to £30 million was met with criticism from just about all angles, but Ramsdale has quickly proven key to their newfound success.

In his first season at the club, Ramsdale swiftly established himself as first choice and has since become a fan favourite for his confident style of play, obvious abilities between the sticks and his professional personality.

He's gone from strength to strength since making the leap last summer. And while he still has much to improve on, it's clear to see why Arsenal fans are absolutely made up that he is their number one.

Ramsdale is a seriously classy goalkeeper. And those who doubted Arsenal for signing him are now eating their words, as he's absolutely thrived as one of the key features of Mikel Arteta's rebuild.

Not only do fans love the 24-year-old for his ability with the ball at his feet and between the goalposts - he loves to pull off world class saves - they've also become big fans of how he conducts himself.

Despite his young age, Ramsdale is clearly someone with a wise head on his shoulders. Having had to work tirelessly to get a shot at a top club like his current employers, it's clear to see he has a rock solid mentality that fuels him and his teammates.

That wise head was on display after Arsenal's comprehensive 3-0 win away to Bournemouth - Ramsdale's former employers - where he was interviewed post-match by Sky Sports pundits.

Chatting to pundits, Ramsdale opened up on his wider mentality. For someone who has silenced countless critics over the past year and been integral to Arsenal's improved fortunes, it would've been easy for him to wax lyrical about the progress that has been made.

But he didn't. Instead, he delivered an incredibly mature and refreshing assessment of himself when quizzed by Gunners hero Alan Smith.

Brilliant from the 24-year-old. To be so mature at that age, with such a bright, exciting future ahead, takes some doing.

"I'm nowhere near where I want to be." He begins.

"Prime example, last season I started really well, [but] had a few dips in form. Goals go in, which you analyse - look at last week (against Leicester) I made a mistake for the [James] Maddison goal."

Ramsdale continued, stating: "It's a constant process on the training ground. We're working really hard."

He added, discussing his age and suggesting that 24 for a goalkeeper is more like 18 or 19 years old for an outfield player, in terms of maturity, but insisted that he has already learned a lot from past experiences.

Hearing him speak so candidly about wanting to continue improving, drawing on dips in form and mistakes, and demonstrating his understanding of the position is fascinating. Let's see how Arsenal fans reacted on Reddit.

An excellent and refreshing insight from an extremely talented player.

Ramsdale has a long career ahead of him, and a very fruitful one if his interviews are anything to go by.
