During last night's episode of NXT 2.0, the son of ex-WWE Superstar William Regal made his TV debut.Charlie Dempsey became the latest British star to make the move over to Orlando following the closing down of NXT UK, appearing during last night's show.Dempsey appeared in a segment with Chase U, where he was brought in to teach the students some of his wrestling moves. He ended up choking out Bodhi Hayward, one of the students, before telling Andre Chase that his class was "soft".

As noted, Dempsey is the real-life son of WWE legend and current AEW star William Regal, but NXT's head booker Shawn Michaels hasn't been positioned as Regal's son on TV thus far.

This could be down to the fact that Regal was released by WWE in January 2022, and now works for the company's rival promotion.

Given his father's legacy within the wrestling business and his undeniable eye for talent, fans are excited to see what Dempsey can do now that he's on the international stage.

Fans on social media, as you can see from the selection of tweets below, seem to be quite excited about the prospect of Dempsey now on US national TV.

Many fans have also pointed out just how obvious it is, based on looks alone, that Dempsey is Regal's son.

Instead, WWE will look to launch NXT Europe at some stage in 2023, but as of right now, NXT UK is no more.

Following the announcement, WWE came to terms with the releases of several wrestlers, and those that weren't let go have now been moved over to Orlando to perform on NXT 2.0.
