Leeds aren't planning on selling anyone before the window closes, according to Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton.

Jesse Marsch has seen two of his star players, Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha leave for Manchester City and Barcelona this summer, but Thornton isn't envisaging any more exits at Elland Road.

What's the latest news involving Leeds?

Despite losing Phillips and Raphinha, who've been key for Leeds since their return to the Premier League two years ago, Marsch's side have made an outstanding start to the season, quickly moving on from their departures.

The Yorkshire giants have already put seven points on the board in three games following victories over Wolves and Chelsea, sandwiched between a 2-2 draw at Southampton.

To put their impressive start into context, they didn't rack up seven points last season until 23 October, when they had played nine matches.

One player at the heart of their excellent start is Jack Harrison, who's already scored once and registered three assists. But his impressive form means that Newcastle are still interested in his services, although Leeds recently rejected a second bid in the region of £20m from the Toon Army.

Regardless, with Harrison playing some of the best football of his career, Thornton doesn't think that Leeds are expecting him or anyone else to leave before the window closes.

What did Thornton say about Leeds?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "As things stand, Leeds aren't planning for anyone to go out. But if anyone does, they've also got options in terms of replacements and players that could come in."

How far can Leeds go this season?

Having only avoided the drop following a final-day victory at Brentford back in May, many expected Leeds to be involved in another relegation battle.

But if their opening three fixtures are anything to go by, Marsch's side, who easily put Chelsea to the sword on Sunday, and would still have a 100 per cent record had they not squandered a 2-0 lead at Southampton earlier this month, will be comfortably clear of relegation.

In fact, a positive points return from their next four league games against Brighton, Everton, Brentford and Nottingham Forest, will have Leeds well on their way to challenging for a top-half finish, especially with the likes of West Ham, Leicester and Wolves all struggling in the early stages.
