Oleksandr Usyk put another clinic on in the ring as he secured all heavyweight belts bar one in Saudi Arabia as he outboxed Anthony Joshua for the second time.

The pair first went head-to-head last year, with the Ukrainian dethroning the Brit to become the heavyweight champion via the judges all voting in his favour for that unanimous decision victory.

He followed that up with the first defence of his titles in their rematch last week, this time winning via a split decision with one judge surprisingly favouring with AJ, giving the fight to him on points.

That will be irrelevant though, all that Usyk will be bothered about was he dealt with everything thrown at him with ease to outsmart his opponent at every opportunity.

Given the fact the fighters had a relatively large gap in their weights, many felt that the result hinged on AJ getting a knockout as he wouldn’t be able to compete with Usyk over 12 rounds, something he’s now proven twice.

With time running out, he must have thought he had a good chance of getting that much needed knockout blow, landing a massive right hander straight onto the chin of Usyk.

However, it wasn’t to be for Joshua, with the Ukrainian miraculously shrugging the blow off like it was a soft jab, smiling back before continuing to dominate the fight.

Many would’ve struggled to take such a huge blow from someone as powerful as Joshua, but Usyk made it look like a casual day at the office, showing us just how good he is.

It’s a warning to Tyson Fury who is looking to set up a mega undisputed clash with the Ukrainian in the heavyweight division later this year out in Saudi Arabia again.

The Gypsy King is bigger than Joshua again, so he’ll have to be on top form if he wants to land that knockout blow, or he’ll need to prepare for a 12 round tango with Usyk.

He has previously said he would offer to train AJ as he knows what he needed to do to win the rematch, he obviously didn’t work with his fellow Brit, but is clearly confident he knows the formula to get the better of the current heavyweight champion.

Regardless of what happens between Usyk and Fury, we need to appreciate the sheer strength and courage shown to just absorb a shot like that and continue like nothing had even happened, magical.
