Manchester United signing both Christian Pulisic and Antony before the transfer window closes is "realistic", believes Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Red Devils are currently focusing on landing the latter, but Sheth thinks the former moving to Old Trafford this summer is also a possibility amid the club's interest in the Chelsea star.

What is the latest news involving Pulisic and Antony?

Earlier this month, The Athletic reported that United are considering making a move for Pulisic.

According to the outlet, the Manchester club are interested in doing a loan deal, which could benefit the Chelsea attacker. The USA international, who will be desperate for game time with the World Cup coming up, was named as a substitute in the Blues' first three matches of the season.

In regards to Antony, United are looking to conclude a very expensive permanent deal for the Ajax winger.

A report from the Daily Mail claims that Antony is confident that he will complete an £80m switch to Old Trafford before next week's deadline.

What has Sheth said about Pulisic, Antony and United?

Sheth thinks United bringing Pulisic in on loan and signing Antony permanently is certainly possible.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Sky Sports reporter said: "If you're going for Christian Pulisic on a loan deal and Antony on a permanent deal, just the figures there, you're just talking about wages and a small loan fee.

"Potentially, that is a kind of double deal that could be a realistic one. But that will all depend on the player and on Chelsea as well."

Who would be the better signing for United, Pulisic or Antony?

Pulisic on loan sounds like a much better deal than buying Antony for £80m. The 23-year-old already knows the Premier League and has proven he can deliver in the biggest games.

Since arriving at Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in a £58m deal, Pulisic has scored against the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid. His goal against the Spanish side, of course, helped the Blues to reach the 2020/21 Champions League final, which they went on to win.

Ultimately, Pulisic, who has also won 50 caps for the USA national team, has a bit more pedigree than Antony at this moment in time. And unlike the Brazilian, he would not have a massive price tag hanging over his head to put him under pressure.

The only real concern with Pulisic is his injury record, yet you can still easily make a case for him being a better option than Antony. It seems, though, that it could be both for United, rather than one or the other, which would come as a huge boost to Erik ten Hag, who is clearly trying to bolster his attack before the market closes.
