AEW Dynamite was the stage for the biggest match in the company's history as AEW World Champion CM Punk went one-on-one with AEW Interim World Champion Jon Moxley to unify the belts and determine an Undisputed World Champion.

The match came in the second hour of Dynamite, with Moxley and Punk taking to the ring in a similar signature fashion that we have become so familiar with over the years.

After last week's brawl, both men continued where they left off and exchanged shots as soon as the bell rang. CM Punk got the upper hand, but one of his biggest weapons became a weakness as a head kick re-injured the surgically repaired foot that was injured months ago.

Whilst the referee attended to Punk, Mox wasted no time and targetted the foot of Punk, trying to capture the titles as quickly as possible, with this being the best opportunity.

Moxley picked an injured Punk off the mat and dropped him with a Deathrider before hitting him with a second, picking up a shocking pinfall victory, winning the Undisputed AEW World Championship in less than 5 minutes.

Moxley's win made him the first 2x AEW World Champion in the company's history.

What's next for Moxley is unknown, and nothing is confirmed, for who he will face at AEW All Out. Nonetheless, with just over a week left until All Out, Mox's challenger could be revealed either on Rampage or Dynamite in Chicago or even on the night at All Out.
