Casemiro has given his first interview since becoming a Manchester United player earlier this week - and fans are now even more excited to see him pull on the red shirt for the first time.The Brazilian midfielder, 30, completed a £70 million move from Real Madrid in a deal that feels like a major coup for the Red Devils.Casemiro wasnât able to feature in Mondayâs 2-1 win over Liverpool but could make his debut against Southampton on Saturday lunchtime.Ahead of his first appearance for United, the tough-tackling midfielder conducted a 12-minute interview with the clubâs official website.

âI think itâs a new challenge,â the South American said. âIâm absolutely delighted. I feel like Iâm 20 or 18 years of age. Iâm raring to go, Iâm excited to be amongst my teammates, playing in the stadium and I think that itâs just huge excitement and Iâm absolutely delighted.â
He continued: âIâm the happiest man alive and I canât wait to produce on the pitch and help out my teammates and to help Manchester United win games and to go on and win trophies.â
Casemiro described United as the âbiggest club in Englandâ, adding: âThe Premier League is a dream to play in. Itâs a wonderful league. The respect that fans have for players, the players have for fans, the players with referees, the referees with the players, the passion of the clubs.
âWhen you go from he airport to the city, you feel that the city has football in the air - and I think the stadium also speaks for itself. The ground breathes football and Iâm delighted to be here.â
Casemiro is intent on learning English, issuing a heartfelt apology to supporters that he canât speak the language right now.
âIâm truly sorry to you and all of the United fans that I donât speak English,â he said. âBut I want to study, I want to learn as soon as possible, so that I can learn about English culture, to learn English and speak to my friends, my teammates, all the club staff, and I want to show them Iâm one of them.â
Casemiro also praised his international teammate Fred and is also looking forward to reuniting with his ex-Real Madrid teammates Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Describing himself, the former Real Madrid star said: âI think Iâm a player that loves to work hard. A player that gives everything not he pitch, but not just over 90 minutes, in training too, for me thatâs the most important thing - you train as you play.
âIâm one of those player who wants to go home and know that Iâve done my job. Thatâs my philosophy, my mentality, and now itâs all about giving everything for Manchester United.â
Casemiro also said that he would be giving â120%â in every game - words that will be music to the ears of United fans.
