Jamie Carragher was blanked by Ronaldo before the match after a series of negative comments about the United man.
Rio Ferdinand saw the incident and explained why Ronaldo decided to blank him.
According to the Daily Mail, Ferdinand said on FIVE: âKnowing Cristiano Ronaldo, Jamie Carragherâs been very vocal about Cristiano Ronaldo being the problem and stuff like that.
âTrust me, Cristiano wouldâve seen those comments and wouldâve been thinking walking over there: âIâll just let this guy know with a littleâ¦,â he needs to kind of calm him down, humiliate him and show him up, whatever way you want to dress it up live on TV.
âCristiano is very calculated, heâs very aware of whatâs going on, heâs not somebody who sits at home and switches off.â
