Casemiro is officially a Manchester United player. The Brazilian midfielder - who's been among the best in the business for close to a decade now - has joined Erik ten Hag's side after nine trophy-laden years at Real Madrid.Casemiro's stint in Spain saw him win the Champions League on five separate occasions, which is the joint-most since the competition was rebranded in 1992/93.The 30-year-old is a born winner and United fans will be hoping his experience, combined with his unquestionable quality, will take the squad to another level this season. It's hard to see how he doesn't improve the team, especially with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez behind him - the duo who were exceptional in the recent 2-1 victory over Liverpool.Casemiro will no doubt be buzzing about his reunion with Varane. The two were brilliant together at Real Madrid for many, many years. But despite the fact they're old friends, United's newest superstar didn't hesitate to get the better of the French defender in his first training session at Carrington.Casemiro pulled off a slick nutmeg on Varane during a drill, further highlighting that he's far more than just a midfield enforcer.

There's that Brazilian flair!

Casemiro's nutmeg on Varane wasn't the only snippet of action from his first training session that caught the eye of United fans.

The former FC Porto man also produced one of his trademark interceptions to thwart Bruno Fernandes, who wasn't the happiest of bunnies after watching his pass attempt fail.

Well played, Casemiro.

The Brazil international looks in great shape ahead of his debut away at Southampton in Saturday's early kick-off.

Ten Hag may decide it's too soon to start Casemiro in the fixture, but we will almost certainly see him in action at some point on the south coast.

One player who will help Casemiro settle in at United is Fred, the man he plays alongside on international duty with Brazil.

"He's [Fred] a friend who I've played alongside in the national team for a good number of games and years," Casemiro told United's official website.

On Fred's qualities as a footballer, he added: "He's a great player and that's why he plays for Man United and Brazil. Fred has a lot of qualities.

"I think he's a player that has good movement. He's very mobile, passes the ball well, he has a good shot on him, he can play with both feet, left or right, he can pass the ball well with either foot.

"Again, that's why he plays for Brazil and he's a very important player at this club and I think he'll help me a great deal as he's Brazilian."
