Manchester City fans have joked that Yaya Toure may have lifted Pep Guardiolaâs Champions League âcurseâ while conducting Thursdayâs draw.Toure only made 17 appearances in all competitions during his final season with Man City and this eventually led to some eyebrow-raising comments from the playerâs agent, Dimitri Seluk, in 2018.âGod sees everything. The way he acted with Yaya, a legend of the club, he turned Africa against himself â and many African fans turned away from City,â Seluk said at the time, per The Sun.âIâm sure many African shamans in the future will not allow Guardiola to win the Champions League.âThis will be for Guardiola, an African curse. Life will show whether I am right or not.âNothing good can be said about the human qualities of Pep Guardiola.âThe fact that Guardiola ended Yayaâs career in Manchester City is not a mistake but a crime.âMANCHESTER, ENGLAND - MAY 09: Yaya Toure of Manchester City shakes hands wtih Josep Guardiola, Manager of Manchester City after he is subbed off during the Premier League match between Manchester City and Brighton and Hove Albion at Etihad Stadium on May 9, 2018 in Manchester, England.
