West Bromwich Albion's Daryl Dike has taken to social media to make a bizarre yet hilarious confession.

The American signed for The Baggies in January 2022.

And, since arriving in England, he has mistakenly washed his clothes with dishwasher tablets.

Yes, really. But how did he make such a bizarre mistake?

Dike made the confession recently on his TikTok account. His story revealing all was brilliant and you can watch it below...

Dike begins: “So funny story time and before I continue, yes, I know I’m an idiot. I fully understand that.

"For the longest time I have thought that my washing machine is just crap. But anyways when I moved into this apartment I bought one of those huge bags of laundry detergent to wash all my clothes.

"Recently it ran out so I went to the store to buy some more. I’m looking at the bag and I can’t find the bag anywhere in the store. I’m sitting there like ‘why can’t I find it?’

“I come back to my apartment and I look down at the bag I have…"

Dike zooms in at an empty packet of Finish Powerball Quantum Ultimate tablets, before continuing: "This is what I’ve been using. I have been washing my clothes with dishwasher soap since I’ve been here.

"I have lived in England for eight months! I'm an idiot! How did I even do that?!"

We admire Dike for having a laugh at himself and telling his embarrassing story to the world.

Dike has had a frustrating spell at West Brom. As well as his laundry problems, he has struggled for form and fitness.

The American striker played twice after arriving at West Brom before an injury ruled him out for the rest of the 2021/22 season.

He recovered from his injury in time for pre-season, where he featured in all six of West Brom's friendlies, scoring twice.

But, after coming on as a late subsititue in West Brom's Championship opener against Middlesbrough, Dike suffered another injury, which is expected to rule him out for a couple of months.
