KSI secured two knockouts in the space of one evening as part of the latest major YouTube boxing event on Saturday night. It's been three years since arguably the United Kingdom's biggest YouTuber stepped between the ropes for a boxing match having made his professional debut in 2019 against Logan Paul.On that occasion, KSI emerged victorious at the Staples Center in Los Angeles courtesy of a split decision having previously drawn with the American influencer in an amateur contest.

KSI's journey in boxing

However, since then, Olajide Olatunji has watched the rise of Jake Paul in the world of boxing as he decided to focus on his YouTube career with the Sidemen as well as his music endeavours.

Meanwhile, Paul has made waves around the world by securing wins over AnEsonGib, Nate Robinson, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley for a hitherto unblemished pro boxing record.

As such, KSI has made no small secret about his intentions to work towards a fight with Paul, thus marking his return to the square circle with two bouts in one night this weekend.

Two fights in one night

With his initial scheduled clash with Alex Wassabi having fallen through, KSI made the remarkable move to fight both rapper Swarmz and professional fighter Luis Alcaraz Pineda on the same day.

And well, it proved to be an emphatic night's work for KSI as he delivered on his promise of two knockouts by finishing both Swarmz and Pineda at either end of the evening's card.

KSI made light work of Swarmz, who was widely criticised upon being named as the YouTuber's replacement opponent, across two dominant rounds of action.

KSI's second win of the night

But it was his second performance of the night that was the most impressive as KSI showed that internet figures can indeed compete with journeymen fighters who box for a living.

In fact, KSI was so dominant in the second contest that he knocked down Pineda on no less than seven occasions before an uppercut eventually brought the fight to an end.

There were even times when the British fighter felt so confident that he could be seen doing press-ups while the referee gave Pineda a count to ten for having been knocked down.

What next for KSI?

Say what you like about influencers and YouTubers like KSI turning their hand to pugilism, but there's no denying in his case that he's really shown the sport the respect that it deserves.

And it's clear that KSI is now keen to press on with life in the ring as he announced after his second win that he hopes to return in January with none other than Tommy Fury listed amongst the potential opponents.

In fact, according to Michael Benson, KSI's full post-fight hit list reads as follows: Slim Albaher, Andrew Tate, Fury and the winner of the Austin McBroom vs AnEsonGib fight.

Make what you will of KSI's two-fight spectacle on Saturday night, but it couldn't be any clearer that he's walking the war path to a mega-money bout with Mr. Jake Paul himself.
