Carlos Sainz will lead the field into La Source on Sunday afternoon after taking pole position in qualifying, following grid penalties for Max Verstappen.

Sainz was actually second-fastest on the road on Saturday but a host of grid penalties have really shaken up the grid, with Esteban Ocon, Mick Schumacher, Valtteri Bottas, Zhou Guanyu and Lando Norris all having to line up at the wrong end of the field as well as Verstappen and team-mate Charles Leclerc.

Indeed, that means it's Sainz from Perez on row one on Sunday, whilst old rivals Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton lock horns on row two, ahead of George Russell and Alex Albon, who had a stellar qualifying in the Williams.

Daniel Ricciardo and Pierre Gasly go from row four, whilst the Aston Martin pair of Lance Stroll and Sebastian Vettel complete the top ten, with them hoping good Sunday pace in their car will allow them to earn points.

Nicholas Latifi is 11th ahead of Kevin Magnussen, whilst Yuki Tsunoda is 13th and the last of the drivers to not have a grid penalty over him.

It's 14th for Bottas, ahead of Verstappen, Leclerc, Ocon, Norris, Zhou and Schumacher, and it's going to be exciting watching some of them surge through the field - most notably, of course, Max and Charles.

Lights out is at 3pm on Sunday.
