West Ham United will turn their attentions towards landing Hans Vanaken and Conor Gallagher after Lucas Paqueta's big-money move to the London Stadium is confirmed, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Hammers are edging towards acquiring creative midfielder Paqueta after agreeing a £51million fee with Lyon, but boss David Moyes could still welcome further additions to east London ahead of Thursday's 11pm deadline.

Who are West Ham looking to sign after Paqueta?

It is understood that West Ham are poised to launch a third bid for Club Brugge talisman Vanaken in the final days of the transfer window.

The Hammers have failed with offers worth £8.4million and £10.8million in recent weeks, but it appears that Moyes is refusing to give up in his pursuit of the 21-cap Belgium international.

Meanwhile, West Ham have reportedly joined Newcastle United and Crystal Palace in the race for Gallagher's signature and are plotting a late proposal to take the central midfielder on loan.

The 22-year-old is back at Chelsea after spending last season at Selhurst Park, where he scored eight goals and contributed a further five assists.

While a deal for Paqueta is nearing completion, West Ham are also in talks with ex-Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj over a return to the Premier League.

What has Dean Jones said about the situation?

Jones believes that West Ham have set their sights on landing two more players ahead of the transfer window slamming shut.

The journalist understands that Moyes and the Hammers' hierarchy are prioritising the acquisitions of Vanaken and Gallagher.

When asked how many signings Moyes is looking to make after the Paqueta deal goes through, Jones told GIVEMESPORT: "Probably two more. They're going to ask about Vanaken and Gallagher.

"That gives you an idea of where we're at and these are the key areas of the field that they've got to sort out in the coming days. They see it as realistic that three players will sign before the deadline."

Are the deals likely to come off ahead of the deadline?

Although Club Brugge are playing hardball and making it difficult for West Ham to swoop for Vanaken, the attacking midfielder has publicly admitted that he is keen to link up with Moyes’ side and that could prove to be crucial.

The Hammers should not face any challenges when it comes to tying Januzaj down to a contract as he is a free agent following the expiry of his Real Sociedad contract.

However, West Ham could face difficulties in attempting to sign Gallagher as the east Londoners are not the four-cap England international's only suitors.
