Zinchenko has only been at the club for a couple of months but he is fast becoming a fan-favourite.

Mikel Arteta spoke to the media after the game and he was happy with how his side reacted to going 1-0 down in the second-half.

"We reacted with a great mentality after a big mistake. We were in control and made a mistake, but we reacted well," he said, per the Mirror.

"We had to make changes. The players had to do it and credit to them, because they really made a difference. The players have to enjoy today, then start thinking about how we recover and prepare for Villa. It’s going to be another big fight."

The Spaniard isn't getting ahead of himself, though, and isn't getting carried away.

When asked about a potential title challenge, he replied: "No this is just the start of the season. We are in a long, long marathon."

Arteta will be hoping to have Zinchenko available for their match against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.
