Aston Villa will look at Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers if they decide to sack Steven Gerrard, believes journalist Dean Jones.
The Midlands club have made a poor start to the season, cranking up the pressure on their current boss.

What is the latest news involving Gerrard?
While Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that Villa have no plans to sack Gerrard at this moment in time, the 42-year-old could quickly find himself fighting for his job if results do not improve.
The Villans have lost three out of their four league games so far, including one against Bournemouth, who have just dismissed Scott Parker after their own struggles during this early part of the campaign.
They have at least been able to pick up some points after beating Everton 2-1 earlier this month, but Gerrard knows his men have to do better.
After they were booed off following their 1-0 defeat to West Ham last weekend, he said (via MailOnline): "I’ve been in the game long enough, if you lose three games out of four it’s not the start the supporters want, it’s not the start that I want. So yes, of course I understand the reaction."
What has Jones said about Gerrard, Rodgers and Villa?
If Gerrard cannot turn things around at Villa Park and the club decide to make a change, Jones thinks they will consider Rodgers as a potential successor.
Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: "If they were to look elsewhere at a later date, then I think Brendan Rodgers particularly would be one that they would look at."
Would Rodgers be a good Gerrard replacement?
Yes. The Northern Irishman has proven himself in English football and, while Leicester may have their own problems right now, he has done an excellent job at the King Power Stadium.
Rodgers has taken the Foxes close to the Champions League and led them to their first ever FA Cup trophy in the 2020/21 season. All in all, he could be a very smart appointment.
With all of that being said, Gerrard deserves more time. Villa obviously have some very good players - the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Ollie Watkins - so there is no reason why they cannot turn things around under him.
They have also lost Diego Carlos to injury, and he was a key signing for them after he arrived from Sevilla earlier this summer in a £26m deal to give their defence a boost. So, again, Gerrard should be given the opportunity to fix things.
