Tottenham could sign Adama Traore with minimum fuss, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

That's because Jones recognises the winger is a long-term target of the north Londoners and reckons it would make sense for Antonio Conte's side.

What's the latest news involving Traore?

Spurs' interest in Traore first came to the fore when Nuno Espirito Santo was in charge, and they launched a last-ditch loan bid last summer.

Their offer was knocked back by Wolves, although they appeared to have got their man back in January when Sky Sports claimed that Traore 'closing in' on his services.

But just when Tottenham were on the verge of landing him for £20m, Barcelona came in right at the very last and secured a loan deal for their former player, who snapped up the chance to return to the Nou Camp.

Despite failing in each of the last two windows, Spurs have been linked again, with Conte and Fabio Paratici both keen on the 25-year-old.

What did Jones say about Traore?

Jones thinks that of all attacking players that Tottenham are being linked with, Traore would be the most practicable, especially considering he wants to leave Wolves with less than 12 months left on his £43,000 per-week contract.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "Traore makes the most sense, just because they've looked into it for so long.

"I think that's one that could be done reasonably easily because Wolves have known for some time that he wants to go."

Do Tottenham have alternatives to Traore?

Despite Spurs being long-term admirers of Traore, they do have alternatives to the Spain international.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the capital club are considering a shock move for Leeds winger Dan James, with a loan deal with an option to buy currently under discussion.

Alasdair Gold reported earlier this month that Paratici 'likes the player' and has thought about signing him recently, although Tottenham are yet to take it past the interest stage.

Meanwhile, the Telegraph claim that the name of Yannick Carrasco has emerged as an option for Conte.

The report claims that Spurs are in talks with the versatile attacker, who can play at wing-back and further forward, after failing to secure his services back in January.

Atletico previously wanted around £25m for Carrasco, and while he has a release clause of £51.2m, that figure isn't likely to be matched, with Belgian expected to be available for far less.
