Raquel Rodriguez, alongside Aliyah, became the WWE Women's Tag Team Champion last night on Monday Night Raw.

Unless plans change within the company, it seems like this won't be the only title that Raquel wins during her time with WWE.

Reports state that Triple H, WWE's new Head of Creative, is quite keen on pushing Raquel as a "big star" within WWE now.

Dave Meltzer, on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, explained that WWE Creative has big plans for Raquel in the future, and even right now (via WrestleTalk).

They are trying to get Raquel Rodriguez over as a big star. That is one of the things that they are trying to do right now.

Raquel and Aliyah might be WWE Women's Tag Team Champions at the moment, having won the belts last night, but the pair aren't expected to have a long reign.

Last night's title match ended in controversy, with footage shared by fans online showing that despite being pinned in the decisive fall, Dakota Kai wasn't the legal woman, which you can find out more about by clicking here.

Many fans have speculated that the mistake will be acknowledged on WWE Raw next week, setting up another title match between the two teams in September, which SKY and Kai will win.

In fact, many fans were outrighted shocked at the conclusion of the show last night, with almost everyone expecting Dakota and IYO to win the tournament and the titles.

A short reign with the titles could be WWE's way of giving Raquel an impressive accolade to add to her CV, while also freeing her up for high-profile singles feuds as we draw 2022 to a close and head into 2023.

It's worth noting that a lot of the contents of this piece, as it pertains to the booking of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships, is merely speculation.

The only thing we know for sure is, at least according to Dave Meltzer, that Triple H plans on pushing Raquel Rodriguez as a top star within WWE.

Raquel was given a shot in NXT in 2020, actually being partnered with Dakota Kai as the pair won the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship on two separate occasions.

On her own, Raquel Rodriguez (formerly Raquel Gonzalez) also won the NXT Women's Championship, clearly showing that Triple H is a fan of hers.
