Triple H is changing a lot within WWE right now, and that includes the names of some of the members of the roster.

In his final few years in charge of WWE, Vince McMahon would change the names of several members of the roster.

Vince would either completely change the names, like turning Pete Dunne into Butch, or he'd shorten the names of his talent, like when he turned Tommaso Ciampa just into Ciampa this year.

However, now that Vince has retired and Triple H has taken over as Head of Creative, that edict is set to change.

Not only are wrestlers not going to have their names changed upon their call-ups to the main roster, unless in specific cases, it seems like some WWE stars are going to have their name changes reversed.

On last night's episode of Raw, we saw that Riddle is now going by Matt Riddle again, after having his name changed by Vince McMahon in 2020.

He isn't the only one either, as PWInsider is reporting that Mr. Money in the Bank Theory is going to be going by Austin Theory once again.

Theory is no longer Theory.  He will officially return to using his full ring name of Austin Theory going forward, PWInsider.com has confirmed. The shortened names were an edict under the Vince McMahon regime that has now been reversed.

Angel Garza also revealed recently that he was able to re-add the surname back to his name after just going by 'Angel' for a few months.

This will come as music to the ears of WWE fans, many of whom have been calling for WWE to stop changing the names of wrestlers for several years now.

This also opens the door up for several other stars, such as the aforementioned Butch and Ciampa, to also undergo name changes under Triple H.

The common belief is that when Butch splits from Sheamus and Ridge Holland, he's going to be able to go back to using his old NXT character and name.

In fact, the former NXT UK Champion even wrestled using his old gear during the SmackDown taping last week, which you can read more about by clicking here.

The same can be said for Ciampa, who many people believe will be called Tommaso Ciampa again when he eventually splits and feuds with The Miz, whenever that may be.
