With a release date of September 30th, excitement for FIFA 23 is well and truly ramping up.

Anticipation is particularly high among women’s football fans, who will be able to play as teams from the Women’s Super League and Division 1 Féminine for the first time ever.

EA Sports announced the historic decision to add women’s club teams in July, just days after Chelsea striker Sam Kerr was unveiled as the cover star for the game.

With just one month to go until the release of FIFA 23, GiveMeSport Women has predicted the highest rated starting XI from the Women’s Super League.

GK: Manuela Zinsberger – 87

The Arsenal goalkeeper finished last season with the highest amount of clean sheets, 13, and an 80 percent save percentage.

Zinsberger may have been at fault for one of Germany’s goals during Austria’s 2-0 quarter-final loss at Euro 2022, but the 26-year-old still finished the tournament with two clean sheets from four matches.

RB: Ona Batlle – 87

Manchester United’s Batlle has attracted interest from Barcelona and it’s easy to see why.

The defender was impressive last season, making the third-highest number of tackles with 75, and she is now one of the most valuable players in the WSL.

CB: Millie Bright – 89

Bright was nominated for the Ballon d'Or after a fantastic season with club and country, and she has now established herself as one of the best centre-backs in the world.

The defender is an intimidating physical presence in the Chelsea back line, and her aerial prowess is second to none.

CB: Leah Williamson – 89

Williamson may have captained England to Euro 2022 success, but she is equally pivotal to Arsenal in the WSL.

She is key to moving the ball up the pitch for the Gunners. Last season, the total distance of Williamson’s completed passes which travelled towards the opponent’s goal was 9436 yards, behind only Alex Greenwood, Bright, and Megan Walsh.

LB: Alex Greenwood – 85

As the statistic above suggests, Greenwood is a defender who is always looking to bring the ball up the pitch.

The Manchester City star also finished last season with the highest number of completed passes – 1725.

CDM: Keira Walsh – 90

Walsh is one of the most underrated players in women’s football, but we hope her FIFA 23 rating is a true reflection of her ability.

At the time of writing, Walsh will still be competing for Manchester City next season. WSL fans will be able to see her dictate play from the heart of the team's midfield.

CAM: Ella Toone – 87

Toone is part of an exciting group of young players at Manchester United, finishing last season with eight assists, the joint-highest alongside Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema.

At just 22-years-old, Toone is already on her way to becoming an England legend, scoring an incredible lobbed goal during the Euro 2022 final.

RW: Beth Mead – 89

Mead has started to establish herself as one of the best players in the world, finishing as runner-up to Alexia Putellas for the UEFA Women’s Player of the Year Award.

Before her Golden Boot-winning performances at Euro 2022, the 27-year-old enjoyed a remarkable season with Arsenal, scoring 11 goals and creating eight more in the WSL.

LW: Lauren Hemp – 88

Hemp is so well-regarded, she has been given the PFA Women's Young Player of the Year Award a record four times.

The pacy winger, still only 22-years-old, scored 10 times for Manchester City last season. She also managed six assists.

ST: Sam Kerr – 91

Kerr is the FIFA 23 cover star for a reason. The 28-year-old has been astounding for Chelsea since joining in 2019.

She earned her second successive Golden Boot last season, hitting the back of the net an impressive 20 times.
