Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is exploring his options, says journalist Paul Brown.

However, with the transfer window closing tonight, Brown feels it may now be too late for the Ivorian to depart Selhurst Park despite interest from other clubs.

What is the latest news involving Zaha?

Chelsea are said to be weighing up a move for Zaha ahead of the 11pm deadline.

According to 90min's Graeme Bailey, the 29-year-old remains an option for the west London club, though a deal could hinge on Conor Gallagher heading in the other direction.

Gallagher spent last season on loan at Selhurst Park and is believed to be of interest to Patrick Vieira once again.

Earlier this week, The Times claimed that Palace had made a £27m bid for the Chelsea midfielder.

What has Brown said about Zaha's Palace future?

Brown has told GIVEMESPORT that Zaha is considering his options right now. However, the journalist thinks a transfer at this stage of the window is going to be tricky.

Speaking to GMS, he said: "He's definitely exploring his options again. It's been pretty obvious for the last few windows that he's an ambitious guy who wants to play at the top and play in the Champions League.

"He's been looking for a move for some time, but it is quite late in the day for anyone to pull that off right now."

What were Zaha's stats last season?

Zaha put are some very good numbers last term. In 33 Premier League appearances, he scored 14 goals to help Palace to a 12th-placed finish in Vieira's first year in charge.

No Palace player managed to register more times than Zaha, and when it came to dribbles completed per game, it was a similar theme.

As per WhoScored, the Ivory Coast international averaged 2.3, which was the highest number in the Eagles' squad.

The above shows that Zaha is a dangerous winger who can finish, so it is no surprise that a club like Chelsea are considering him right now.

He also has less than 12 months remaining on his £130,000-a-week contract, so Palace could be tempted to sell him if a good offer comes in. This could be their last chance to make some decent money.

The former Manchester United man would be difficult to replace, though, especially at this point in the window, so you would not blame Palace for keeping hold of him.
