Manchester United defeated Arsenal in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

United went into the match looking to win their fourth consecutive game.

Arsenal, meanwhile, were aiming to maintain their 100% record and make it six wins from six to start the season.

Both sides went into the game high in confidence but it was United who maintained their winning streak with a 3-1 victory over the Gunners.

The Red Devils led 1-0 at half-time thanks to Antony's debut goal.

The Brazilian winger was found by Marcus Rashford inside the box and he made no mistake when one vs one with Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal fought back and levelled proceedings on the hour-mark.

The ball fell to Bukayo Saka and he swept the ball home to restore parity.

But they weren't level for long - with United restoring their lead once again five minutes later.

Bruno Fernandes was the architect, sending Rashford through on goal with a quite exquisite pass.

Rashford then made it 3-1 and made the points safe for United in the 75th minute.

Christian Eriksen ran through and unselfishly set up Rashford to score his second of the game.

There were no further goals as United held on for victory and made it four wins from four.

Arsenal have lost their 100% record but remain top of the table with 15 points accrued from their opening six games.

The Gunners will be looking to get back on track when they welcome Arsenal to the Emirates Stadium next Sunday.

United are three points worse off than Arsenal in fifth. They are next in action against Crystal Palace next weekend.
