Roy Keane went full Roy Keane on Arsenal

Speaking after the match, Keane went full Keane when discussing some of the praise given to Arsenal for their performance.

“When I was a player and teams came here and had a good day, I never worried about the plaudits, I was interested in the points,” the Irishman said. “You can praise Arsenal all you want but this is about results and winning football matches.”

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson, who was also on the Super Sunday panel, then said: “But there’s ways of losing games, Roy, they done alright today…”

Keane hit back: “Alright, you have a sing-song going back because you lost but played well? Rubbish, rubbish! It’s about winning.”

Classic Keane.

Super Sunday host Dave Jones reminded Merson about a comment he’d made earlier on the show: “What was it that you said earlier, Paul? You said you always came to Manchester United, walked away feeling that you’d played quite well, but you never won.”

Keane then added: “That’s carrying on now, isn’t it? Brilliant.”

Roy Keane blasts 'sore loser' Mikel Arteta

Keane then went in on Arteta following the Spaniard's post-match interview.

The Premier League legend said: "Listen, I'm fed up with all their excuses. Arteta gets interviewed after the game, he's a sore loser, like us all - but he's got to give a bit of credit to Man United. He never does. Every time he loses a game, I listen to him and it's about what they didn't do properly or the officials. Stop making excuses - you lost the game 3-1. You done okay, take the plaudits, but give me the three points any day of the week."

Despite the result, Arsenal remain top of the table, with 15 points from their opening six matches.

Man Utd, meanwhile, are now on a run of four straight wins and climb to fifth place in the table.
