Cristiano Ronaldo's leadership qualities were on full display in Manchester United's victory over Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

The Portuguese legend was named on the bench by Erik ten Hag for the third consecutive game.

He took to the field in the 58th minute with United 1-0 up thanks to Antony's goal.

However, just moments after Ronaldo was introduced, Arsenal netted an equaliser courtesy of Bukayo Saka.

The ball fell to the youngster inside the box and he made no mistake as he swept the ball home.

Ronaldo's reaction to the goal has now emerged on social media.

United's players may have been deflated at losing their lead but Ronaldo was determined to keep their spirits high.

He walked up to a number of United's players, including Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen, and motivated them.

He could also be seen clapping in the direction of United's young full-back, Tyrell Malacia.

Ronaldo isn't playing as much as he likes at the moment. He's only started one game thus far in the 2022/23 season and has yet to hit the back of the net.

But, despite his lack of game-time, it's clear to see how much he cares about the club and he'll do anything to ensure they have success.

Ronaldo's motivation after Saka's equaliser worked as United went ahead once again five minutes later when Marcus Rashford found the back of the net.

Rashford doubled his tally in the 75th minute to ensure United ran out 3-1 victors.

The Red Devils have now moved up to fifth and are now just three points behind the early pace-setters, Arsenal.
