The summer transfer window has slammed shut and the 2022/23 Premier League season is well underway.
As such, it's time to take stock of all the incomings and outgoings across England's top-flight as the campaign truly ramps up with no less than £1.9 million having been splurged on transfers.
By that we mean, it's time to do some good old ranking - don't say that too quick - because now that all 20 Premier League squads are fixed until at least January, we can finally cast our opinion without it expiring in just 24 hours.
Who are the Premier League's best strikers?
And first up, we've taken on the unenviable task of ordering every single Premier League striker from worst to best.
Taking every player in England's top-flight listed on Transfermarkt as a centre forward, we've then ranked them all in relation to one another to showcase the good, the bad and the goal-shy of the division's poachers.
Ok, in seriousness, it's worth saying that any and every player good enough to feature as a striker in the Premier League is a top-class talent who could score goals in their sleep.
That said, when the likes of Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo are milling about, the standard is just so high that even lethal forwards will have to settle for a place in some of the lowest echelons.
All the decisions will be informed by the opinion of your humble GIVEMESPORT writer and will focus around the following categories: goalscoring record, Premier League pedigree, overall footballing quality, longevity and consistency.

Look, these are all top players, so there's no shame in finishing outside the top 40, but we can surely all agree that none of these poachers guarantee you much more than five Premier League goals as things stand.
We need to see more from Greenwood and Gelhardt before we get too excited, Rondon just can't produce the goals to go with his hold-up play and Ayew's record of just 14 league goals in 127 Palace games makes for miserable reading.

The quality has immediately leapt up, but goals are still hard to come by. Take Hwang, for example, because although nobody's denying his talent and ability, the jury will ultimately remain out until he starts scoring consistently for Wolves.
We're still not 100% sure that Maupay is a Premier League standard striker and while Adams is slowly getting there at Southampton, he still can't quite break through that double-figure ceiling in the top-flight just like Armstrong.
We're pumping the brakes on the Awoniyi hype until we see that he's not merely a one-season wonder and Nketiah, for all his effort, still needs to show more consistent finishing before we bump him up much further.

Now we're talking. Dennis and Broja have all strutted their stuff at times in the Premier League, but we just need to see them kick on this season to prove that their 2021/22 campaigns weren't just a flash in the pan.
Meanwhile, Welbeck has counterbalanced his lukewarm scoring stats with a scintillating start to 2022/23 and we're giving Daka and Iheanacho the benefit of the doubt because we know they can deliver for Leicester.
But it's at the very end of this section that really lets you know that we're moving into exciting territory with Watkins and Bamford both having earned England call-ups for their goalscoring exploits.

The goals are really starting to flow. You can pretty much always rely on the likes of Ings, Wilson and Antonio to bag you at least 10 goals a season when they're fighting fit, while Isak, Alvarez and Scamacca have all the talent necessary to tear up the Premier League.
Calvert-Lewin is a proven goalscorer at this level and will remind everyone of that fact once he puts a consistent run of fitness together and there's no stopping Mitrovic right now as he's finally showing his Championship form in the big time.

For now, Kane remains the king. As much as Haaland has blown our minds with a breath-taking 10 goals already this season, we can't allow just six games to boot one of the division's greatest ever finishers off his perch.
Don't get it twisted, Haaland is well on his way to nabbing the crown, but let's put some respect on three-time Golden Boot winner Kane for a second because he's arguably the world's most complete centre forward.
And he's hardly started the season badly himself with five goals from six appearances.
Further back and Ronaldo is still very much deserving of a podium place as disputably the most prolific goalscorer in men's football history, notching 18 league goals in his comeback season at Old Trafford.
Jesus marries lethal goalscoring with arguably the finest all-round game of the bunch, while Vardy and Aubameyang remain unerring in front of goal despite father time tapping them on the shoulder.
Finally, we don't want to get too weak at the knees over Nunez's one-season goal rush at Benfica and we seriously need to give Toney the props he deserves because he could really do a job for a top-half team.
