Tyson Fury has called out Anthony Joshua for a WBC and lineal heavyweight championship bout set to take place within the next few months, if an agreement can be reached between both parties, of course!
Fury was looking for a battle with the WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, who recently defeated Joshua to retain his belts.
However, it is said that Usyk wonât be fighting again this year which leaves The Gypsy King without an opponent, so he has turned to former champion AJ.
Fury called out Joshua for a âBattle of Britainâ in a video posted to his social media yesterday, which would get a response from the 32-year-old later that evening.
In the video, the current holder of the WBC belts said: âI think youâve all heard that Iâm going to be fighting soon within the next few months.
âI think that before I announce an opponent that I need to do this just in case.
âAnthony Joshua, I know youâve just lost a fight to Usyk and youâre bout-less at the moment, and Iâd like to give you an opportunity to fight me for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world and the lineal championship in the next few months.

Fury continued: âYouâre coming off a 12-round fight, so youâre match fit, youâre ready. Iâm giving you a few monthsâ notice.
âIf youâre interested Iâll send you the date over and we can rumble. A battle of Britain for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world.
âLet me know if youâre interested, if not I will select another opponent.â
The Gypsy King repeated the offer on Twitter later on that same day, claiming to have sorted both the âdate and venueâ for the potential clash of the titans.

Joshua then responded later that same evening, directing Fury towards his management team to discuss a deal for the big match.
AJ named when he would be ready for the fight and it looks like it could very well take place at the end of the year.
âYea calm,â Joshua tweeted. âI donât do the online discussions just for clout, so if your really about it shout @258mgt.
âIâll be ready in December.â
Video: Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua simulated
With all that being said, weâve found a video taken from YouTube of a boxing simulation video game called âFight Night Champion Simulationâ which has AJ taking on The Gypsy King to reflect what could happen if they were to come face to face.
The first couple of rounds definitely appeared to show each man figuring each other out, but Joshua landed significant strikes over Fury as The Gypsy King looked to defend, bob and weave.
The judgesâ scorecards had Joshua scoring 10s in the first three rounds, compared to Furyâs 9s, meaning AJ was definitely on top going into the fourth round.
Fury had the better offence in the fourth, rocking AJ twice midway through and towards the end of the round. It was a perfect response to Joshuaâs early dominance.
AJ would get knocked down by The Gypsy King following a devastating overhand right to the chin in the last few seconds of round five, but would get up at the count of five.
Fury would score another knockdown over Joshua again, however, landing a destructive left uppercut which saw him win by KO.
Is this what would happen in real life? I guess weâll have to wait and see!
