Tyson Fury has called out Anthony Joshua for a WBC and lineal heavyweight championship bout set to take place within the next few months, if an agreement can be reached between both parties, of course!

Fury was looking for a battle with the WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, who recently defeated Joshua to retain his belts.

However, it is said that Usyk won’t be fighting again this year which leaves The Gypsy King without an opponent, so he has turned to former champion AJ.

Fury called out Joshua for a “Battle of Britain” in a video posted to his social media yesterday, which would get a response from the 32-year-old later that evening.

In the video, the current holder of the WBC belts said: “I think you’ve all heard that I’m going to be fighting soon within the next few months.

“I think that before I announce an opponent that I need to do this just in case.

“Anthony Joshua, I know you’ve just lost a fight to Usyk and you’re bout-less at the moment, and I’d like to give you an opportunity to fight me for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world and the lineal championship in the next few months.

Fury continued: “You’re coming off a 12-round fight, so you’re match fit, you’re ready. I’m giving you a few months’ notice.

“If you’re interested I’ll send you the date over and we can rumble. A battle of Britain for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world.

“Let me know if you’re interested, if not I will select another opponent.”

The Gypsy King repeated the offer on Twitter later on that same day, claiming to have sorted both the “date and venue” for the potential clash of the titans.

Joshua then responded later that same evening, directing Fury towards his management team to discuss a deal for the big match.

AJ named when he would be ready for the fight and it looks like it could very well take place at the end of the year.

“Yea calm,” Joshua tweeted. “I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if your really about it shout @258mgt.

“I’ll be ready in December.”

Video: Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua simulated

With all that being said, we’ve found a video taken from YouTube of a boxing simulation video game called ‘Fight Night Champion Simulation’ which has AJ taking on The Gypsy King to reflect what could happen if they were to come face to face.

The first couple of rounds definitely appeared to show each man figuring each other out, but Joshua landed significant strikes over Fury as The Gypsy King looked to defend, bob and weave.

The judges’ scorecards had Joshua scoring 10s in the first three rounds, compared to Fury’s 9s, meaning AJ was definitely on top going into the fourth round.

Fury had the better offence in the fourth, rocking AJ twice midway through and towards the end of the round. It was a perfect response to Joshua’s early dominance.

AJ would get knocked down by The Gypsy King following a devastating overhand right to the chin in the last few seconds of round five, but would get up at the count of five.

Fury would score another knockdown over Joshua again, however, landing a destructive left uppercut which saw him win by KO.

Is this what would happen in real life? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
