Hakim Ziyech is being slammed for his performance as Chelsea lost 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Ziyech came off the bench at half time as Thomas Tuchel's trailed their Croatian opponents thanks to Mislav Orsic's breakaway goal.

But Ziyech didn't quite have the impact Tuchel would have hoped for.

In fact, he was so bad during the second half that he was trending on social media after the match.

Nothing he tried came off as he lost possession on countless occasions. We've also already explained how he refused to let Reece James take a free kick despite hitting the wall in the same position just minutes earlier. He hit the wall once again...

Now, footage of his entire performance has emerged - and it's staggeringly bad.

Look away now, Chelsea fans...

Ouch.

Okay, everyone is entitled to an off-day but that was particularly bad from Ziyech.

After the match, BT Sport pundit and former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole also questioned the Moroccon's display.

“Those players have come in tonight and haven’t taken their chance so at least he can tell them now that’s why they’re not playing," he said. "Ziyech, he’s got a lot of talent but for one reason or another it’s not clicking for him at Chelsea.

“He wasn’t at his best and he hasn’t been at his best. He’s trying hard and trying to make things happen but it’s not happening for him."

And that's being kind.

Meanwhile, while on co-commentary for BT Sport Martin Keown also highlighted Ziyech's performance.

“Ziyech is just out of sorts,” the former Arsenal defender said.

“He knows that. We saw him play at Ajax, he was quite brilliant.

“He’s a shadow of his former self tonight.”

We all know just how capable Ziyech is but he looks a million miles away from that right now.

Hopefully we're back seeing him beat defenders for fun and causing havoc with that sweet left foot of his before too long.
