Dempsey names Tottenham as UCL dark horses - Henry reacts

Dempsey also had his fellow pundit Henry laughing earlier in the show, albeit for different reasons.

When asked which teams they fancy to win this season’s Champions League, Dempsey said: “I’ll do something different, I’ll pick a dark horse. I’m not biased at all but I think maybe Tottenham.”

The Frenchman said: “Shall I leave now? What?!”

He then turned away from the former Spurs midfielder.

“[Antonio] Conte’s a winner,” Dempsey added. “Maybe he doesn’t have a great record in the Champions League, but I think it’s them.

“It’s looking like they’re going from strength to strength and they’ve done well in the transfer window.”
