The Royal Rumble is always one of the most hotly anticipated Premium Live Events in the WWE calendar, and we now know exactly where the 2023 show will emanate from.

The 30-person battle royale is a hugely exciting match, with the majority of top stars entering the contest and attempting to throw their opponents over the top rope.

In recent years, we have seen the addition of a Women’s Royal Rumble match, so we always get two matches on the same night.

The winners, of course, receive championship matches at WrestleMania.

In 2022, Ronda Rousey won the Women’s Rumble, while Brock Lesnar won the Men’s Rumble. Rousey went on to lose to Charlotte Flair on Night 1 of WrestleMania and Lesnar also lost to Roman Reigns in the main event of Night 2.

We’ve got all the information you need below.

WWE Royal Rumble 2023 Location

Brock Lesnar has officially won the Royal Rumble!

WWE has announced that the upcoming Rumble Premium Live Event will emanate from The Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The event will take place on Sunday, January 28, 2023.

The Alamodome is a 64,000-seater facility that is used mainly as a football and basketball stadium, and is the former home of the San Antonio Spurs.

It has held just four wrestling events in its history, as per Pro Wrestling Fandom.

WWE has held two Royal Rumble shows in the stadium, the first in 1997, when Stone Cold Steve Austin won the major match, and the second in 2017. The latter event saw Randy Orton win the Rumble, while it was also notable for John Cena beating AJ Styles for the WWE Championship.

Elsewhere, two WCW Nitro shows have emanated from the Alamodome, both in 1998.

This is the first time that WWE is staging a show in the stadium for six years, and fans will be hopeful of a newsworthy event, with some great Rumble matches.

It always kicks off the Road to WrestleMania, in that patented language WWE often use, and is likely to reveal the challenger to Roman Reigns at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Of course, he could well lose his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship by then but if you’ve been watching WWE, you’ll know how unlikely that prospect seems to be!
